Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also head of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman, who has many research publications as well as numerous grants to her name she is also the winner of numerous international and national awards. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world on policies and research on child victimization in the court system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
